Description

Salary: £28,000 to £32,000

The main purpose of this role is to create, edit and maintain high quality and accurate learning material for my client.  A wide variety of learning material is currently produced within the team including, but not exclusively, LearningGuide topics, videos, e-learnings, and quick reference guides. The learning material is hosted in LearningGuide.  In order to develop the correct content, liaison with a wide variety of internal people is essential to ensure the material developed covers all the required elements.  The learning material that is produced includes both system and process steps.
  
Responsibilities
 
o    Reports to the Content team leader on a daily basis.
o    Liaison with members of Training and Knowledge team and other ITS/SSO teams on a daily basis.
o    Liaison with the business on a regular basis.
o    Responsible for presenting a customer focused and business led approach.
o    Required to attend Project meetings.
o    Required to keep all material concurrent and up-to-date through maintenance of learning guides or other applications used.
o    Required to perform administration tasks 

Qualifications / Requirements

The successful candidate will have previous experience of developing stimulating and engaging learning content for IT systems and be able to learn new systems and process quickly.  They will have excellent communication skills and be comfortable dealing with people at all levels within the organisation.  They must demonstrate a friendly, professional and approachable manner and be customer focussed.  Excellent organisational and time management skills are essential and the successful candidate must demonstrate a methodical, analytical and clear approach to problems and how to negotiate to solutions. 
They will be able to work using their own initiative and show attention to detail in both their own work and others within the team when reviewing content.  Commitment to working with the team to maintain a positive team spirit, with a desire and drive to meet and exceed team targets is essential. 
  
Qualifications: 

  • GCSE or equivalent in English/Maths 
  • Experience of the core Microsoft Office packages - essential
  • Experience within a training or technical environment role - essential
  • Experience of creating learning content - essential
  • Qualifications/experience in technical training tools e.g. Learning Guide, Articulate and Captivate – preferable but not essential as training will be provided
  • Windows 8 and Office 2013 experience essential
