Role description
This rapidly expanding team comprises a group of specialists drawn from a wide range of different professional and technical backgrounds. As a Technical Team Leader you will:
Provide technical leadership of a software development team building top-quality products and services;
Lead the design, coding, testing, implementation, and documentation of solutions;
Work with a Business Analyst to capture, write and adapt product visions and produce high quality user stories that the team can develop and test;
Oversee the complete development lifecycle for products and applications;
Understand the importance of unit testing (manual and automated) constantly looking for opportunities to improve code quality;
Evaluate new technologies to expand the scope of the team’s work and identify opportunities for improvement and greater efficiency;
Have a broader perspective of potential issues encountered when managing diverse teams and the strategies to overcome them; have a clear understanding of the firm’s commitment to creating a more inclusive culture;
Support project management with release and roadmap planning;
Encourage and evangelize the use of Agile and Lean engineering practices;
Define the definition of done as well as the adherence towards it;
Manage releases to environments and customers.
Qualifications / Requirements
Demonstrable (must have) experience of the following is required:

.Net (C# preferred)
MVC development
Skills in one of JavaScript / Python / JQuery / Angular
Agile framework (SCRUM preferred)
Database design and development
Experience using project management and source control systems (e.g. Confluence / JIRA / GIT preferred)
Testing Frameworks (e.g. unit testing, BDD, TDD)
Additional desirable (nice to have) experience includes:
Relevant postgraduate or professional qualifications;
Experience managing geographically diverse teams (on/off/near shore);
Exposure to Cloud services such as AWS - Amazon Web Services (preferred) or Azure
CI/CD Tools (e.g. Bamboo/Jenkins)
Understanding of the financial services industry;
