You may be an experienced software support analyst (2+ years) OR maybe you are a graduate who has had a placement year whilst at University, either way, this is a great opportunity to join a but IT department.
Non-negotiable:
· Strong analytical skills
· Cloud experience required - they use Google Cloud but happy to consider any others
· Candidate must be familiar with working in an agile environment
· Exposure to Jira Database is preferred but not essential to the role
· Automation skills and worked in an automated environment
Technical skills required
· Strong investigative and analytical skills and proficient in their use to resolve customer, systems, software and data problems/queries
· Experience in querying, extracting and manipulating data from log and Database sources
· Strong technical acumen and skills to troubleshoot non-functional (performance, security, etc.) and functional issues, with more experience of databases, WEB services and API's.
· Experience in working with and configuring infrastructure services; TCP/IP networking, Microsoft Domain Services (DNS, DHCP) from software deployment/integration to troubleshooting
· Experienced in project and task delivery in a technical environment, through the full change lifecycle; understanding requirements, task identification and elicitation, complexity estimation, planning, delivery and support once into a production environment.
· Able to create technical documentation (e.g. procedures and work instructions etc.)
To strengthen your application, it would be desirable if you have experience in the following:
· Software Defined Data Centre (i.e. systems, networks and storage solutions, configured and hosted within a Cloud environment)
· Microsoft SQL Databases (querying, exporting, importing data)
· Microsoft IIS and .NET
· Microsoft Server Operating Systems
· Linux, UNIX and open source products
· Creating, updating and tuning PowerShell scripts
· Working with third parties to implement software solutions and platforms
· Virtual Desktop environments
· Knowledge of the following;
· Automation and scripting languages
· Agile and waterfall delivery methodologies

Location: Leominster, Herefordshire
Hours of Work: 9am - 5pm, Monday to Friday - Flexible working; core hours are 10am - 4pm but they are happy for you to work 8-4 / 9-5 / 10-6
