Salary: £40,000 to £75,000 – there are a number of positions available depending on level of experience
Our client is the fastest growing provider of specialist software for one of the countries leading health, social care and services company.
Our clients’ solution is a modern browser-based Java application that uses an SQL database and supports professionals to work in a joined-up manner within social care and education settings. In addition to this, portal technology facilitates contributions from external professionals, families and carers; teams to take a coordinated approach based on the comprehensive view of a person.

Description
Due to continued growth and success (there are currently 33 Java Developers of varying levels) this is a unique opportunity to put your skills and knowledge into practice and to make a real difference in building exciting new solutions as well as enhancing existing market leading applications.
As a key member of one of the talented agile teams (there are four working on different applications), you will have a passion for development and a strong track record in developing and delivering software solutions. You will have a commitment to quality as well as a flexible attitude and the ability to perform under pressure.
Working in a friendly, collaborative workplace, your role will be varied and you will be encouraged to contribute ideas and help shape the software and processes going into the future.
With a SQL database and warehouse at the core of our solutions, strong SQL and any experience of warehouse and report development would be beneficial.
Requirements
Essential
· 3+ years Java Development OR “top of your game” in C++ / C# development experience looking to move into Java
· Extensive database / SQL knowledge
Experience in ONE or more of the following:
· Database Design
· SSIS / Warehouse ETL
· HTML, CSS, JavaScript
· XML/XSD
· Web services, SOAP, REST
· UI/UX Responsive Design
· Analysis & Design techniques
· Secure coding techniques
· Agile development methodologies
