Salary: £14.75 to £17.00 per hour + opportunity to earn more based on individual performance
A fantastic opportunity to join our clients’ expanding business. They craft flexible fuel tanks for many industries, including motorsport, automotive, marine, defence and aviation. They are the leading manufacturer in their field and currently supply Formula One and Le Mans.
Our client are looking for an Assembly Technician to join their Final Assembly team in Milton Keynes. You will be working in a small team of 4, reporting to the department manager. You will be responsible for maintaining your schedule and completing sub-assemblies to the required quality.
This role requires electrical wiring and manufacturing assembly experience. If you feel that you can demonstrate these skills, do not hesitate to apply to join their friendly Final Assembly team - full training on company processes and systems will be provided.
Requirements
· Must have background in assembly of motors/automotive and an interest in the industry
· Must have mechanical assembly work experience and/or electrical wiring experience
· Knowledge on fuel tanks and assembly, ability to find faults and identify improvement points
· Attention to detail
· Must be IT literate
· Willing to implement checks with the team
It would be nice to have someone with the ability to read technical drawings and can pick up systems quickly. Person wise, we need someone who is capable to adapting as per the business needs and changing workloads.
Main Duties
· Responsible for the manufacturing of all types of assemblies to the required quality
· Required to keep to schedule throughout the production of assemblies
· To liaise with the Final Assembly & Moulding Manager to be able to gain on-the-job training in all assembly processes to continually improve skills and efficiency levels
· Required to regularly self-check your work and buddy check colleagues work to ensure that the department produces high quality assemblies with no non-conformances
· Required to be capable of producing an effective assembly and to highlight any possible design flaws or changes needed from CAD model, as well produce clear and accurate build notes to aid future build
· Other jobs within your capabilities may be requested from time-to-time including any other role that you possess experience in that the Company may require you to fulfil
Package
· £14.75 to £17.00 per hour + opportunity to earn more based on individual performance
· Overtime rate is 1.5 of base salary once normal hours are completed
