Salary: £37,000 to £45,000 per annum plus benefits (see below)

Our client has an exciting opportunity for a Technical Sales Engineer to join their growing Sales team in Milton Keynes.
 
The successful candidate will be responsible for managing existing key accounts and identifying opportunities for new business growth, enjoying developing and maintaining relationships at a high level with a variety of customers across all their target markets.
 
Criteria
 
·         Must have a background in mechanical/automotive/aerospace/engineering
·         They need to have good numeracy and be IT literate
·         Experience within account management  
 
It would be helpful if you have a passion for the industry and also have a degree in a relevant field i.e. engineering however, this is not a must have
 
Someone with commercial acumen, understands sales processes, can quantify leads and close sales and also have networking skills. A good communicator, people person who can build relationships, they need to be able to work in a team.
 
Main Duties
 
·         Customer account management, ensuring their needs are fulfilled and maintaining positive ongoing relationships
·         Manage communications with customers in relation to all technical sales requirements
·         Produce accurate quotations for custom projects across all markets
·         To liaise with the Design department to ensure customers’ needs are understood and fulfilled
·         Ensuring enquiries are dealt with in a timely and accurate manner, and orders are processed quickly, accurately and consistently
·         Monitor project scope and update estimates and quotations as required
·         To advise customers with regards to standard products where required
·         To assist with the production of literature to promote the companies technical capabilities
·         Work with the rest of the Sales team and the Accounts department to manage customer credit accounts
·         Support diversification through learning and understanding requirements of new markets, developing individual knowledge and that of the Sales team
·         Other jobs within your capabilities may be requested from time-to-time including any other role that you possess experience in that the Company may require you to fulfil.
 
Responsibilities & Competence
 
·         Ownership of the Technical Sales function
·         Maintain professional relationships with all customers at all times
·         Proactive approach to account management and business development
·         Confident in technical presentations and commercial negotiation
·         Maintain confidentiality at all times ensuring all staff are aware of requisite level of confidentiality per project
·         Excellent communication skills, ensuring clear communication of commercial and technical requirements
 
Salary Package
 
·         Salary: £37,000.00 - £45,000.00 per year
·         Annual Profit-Related Bonus;
