Our client is the UK’s leading supplier of Clinical Systems and they have a vacancy for a Web Developer. Their impressive customer base accounts for around half of the NHS and includes some of the UK’s leading teaching hospitals as well as customers in Norway, Sweden, Netherlands, Belgium, Ireland and South Africa.

Key skills

·         Intersystems Cache/IRIS Database skills with Object Script development experience – training will be given where necessary

·         SQL, VB .NET or C#

·         Atlassian Jira, Salesforce

·         Healthcare Experience – ideal, not essential

·         ASP .NET, HTML 5, CSS, MVC, JavaScript, jQuery, Bootstrap and Knockout.js, VUE

·         Git/Atlassian Bitbucket

·         HL7/FHIR Messaging – ideal, not essential

·         Experience with Web Services, Containers, Docker, Kubernetes

 Job Purpose:

The Web Developer is required to manage and fulfil a variety of roles aimed at providing business support across current and planned commercial areas of business activities.

You will need to demonstrate good communication and interpersonal skills, attention to detail together with analytical thinking and the ability to deal rapidly and effectively with complex issues.

You must possess the ability to work independently, although teamwork and problem-solving skills are essential.

Job Description:

·         To develop new web software functionality – ideally full stack

·         To enhance existing web software functionality

·         To be able to analyse and correct existing code

·         To be able to enhance existing software

·         Unit test software functionality

·         To interpret and code functionality from Jira tickets and specifications for releases and service packs

·         Software documentation

 Territory

·         UK, Norway, Sweden, Netherlands, Belgium, Ireland and South Africa (current client base)

·         Other Territories as they emerge

·         You may be required to travel to any UK client base location

 Personal profile

·         Applicants should be self-driven, results-oriented with a positive outlook. A natural forward planner who critically assesses own performance. Mature outlook, credible, and comfortable in dealing with prospective and existing clients. Reliable, tolerant and determined. Well-presented and business like. Sufficiently mobile and willing to travel on occasion including overnight stays

·         Willing to locate to Basildon area or commute on a regular basis. Able to work flexible or extended hours on occasions when required. Consideration will be given to home working on an occasional basis. Must have clean or near clean driving licence.

·         Good time management skills. Good communication skills both verbal and written.

·         Must be adept in use of MS Office 2000 or later, particularly Excel and Word, Internet and email.

·         Must be fluent in both English. Good numeracy skills.
 

Job Title: Web Developer Intersystems Cache

Location: Basildon, Essex – Hybrid working available with a couple of visits to site per month

Salary: £45,000 to £55,000 depending on level of experience
