Salary: £35,000 to £45,000 + Car Allowance
Excellent opportunity to join a very successful company in the Healthcare Software market.
In order to be successful in this role, you will need to have prior experience in project management particularly with implementing IT systems within an NHS environment. This role requires the provision of Project Management skills coupled to willingness to take responsibility, drive to completion, excellent presentation and communication skills. The ability to remotely work to deadlines and within agreed budget is vital.
Person Specification:
It is the overall goal of the company to develop its current and future markets. The Project Manager will be expected to support the business objectives of the company.
The Project Manager will be required to have extensive product and domain knowledge in the area of Medicines Management, as well as good communication, presentation and interpersonal skills.
Experience of working with or within the NHS is essential. Ideally this will be within a pharmacy or electronic prescribing setting.
The following qualifications and experience would be considered an advantage:
· Degree educated or equivalent (significant work experience may be acceptable as a substitute for academic qualifications)
· In depth knowledge of the NHS and Healthcare Information Systems
· Understanding of the operational procedures within one or more care settings e.g., Acute Secondary, Acute Mental Health, Primary Care etc., and departments within the NHS
· Understanding of the role of healthcare informatics in the delivery (and modernisation of) healthcare services
· Project Management methodologies – PRINCE2 an advantage
· Practical experience in the delivery of large-scale IT led business change projects, ideally in an NHS setting such as the replacement of a hospital or mental health system
· Medical/clinical systems awareness or a clinical background
· A successful and proven track record in working to tight deadlines in a busy challenging environment
· Experience of dealing with end users and prioritising outstanding tasks
· Ability to work well within a team
· Significant experience in NHS or health care domain, typically 5+ years
· Experience of working in a consultancy role and/or communications with key stakeholders at board level in client organisations

Job Description:
· All aspects of planning and deploying complex healthcare IT systems and services at NHS Trust / Health Board level, including the management of the client and 3rd parties
· Ensuring buy in to the plan from all parties, including client and 3rd parties
· Presenting & reporting to Project Boards and Senior Management
· Achieving milestone sign off; aspects of which may have dependencies upon the client and 3rd parties
· Identifying and managing project issues and risks and escalating appropriately.
· Ensuring the overall solution, including operational procedures and workarounds is ‘fit for purpose’
· Matrix management of team(s) (including client and 3rd party) to deploy the solution
· Providing demonstrations and workshops to the client to encourage teamwork between supplier and client
· Team building and working with colleagues from this and other companies
· Providing consultancy around Change Management aspects of the project
· Provide continuity between Sales and Customer Services by providing first line Project Management of new clients to the point of handover to Client Services
· Provide Key account Project Management through to Go-live as required and as directed by the Head of Programmes
· Providing key stakeholders clear highlight reports to enable informed representation of the Company at project board level meetings as and when required or directed
· Work in accordance with the Project management ISO Process in order to provide a lean best practice approach to project
· Project Management of existing client upgrades for new system releases and deployment of new modules and services
· Identify and manage risks and issues
· Comfortable leading on I.T. conversations including, but not limited, to server set up/configuration, interfaces and business continuity solutions
· Closing projects and coordinating lessons learned workshops, evaluating successes and challenges to enhance learning for future projects
· Liaise with Finance, providing key forecasting updates and confirmation of milestone delivery
· Report accurate time and budget information
· Providing support to Sales and Marketing, including occasional demonstrations, events and proposed bespoke development requirements
· Assistance with project management of internal projects as needed
· Assist when asked to support go lives
