Our client is a healthcare software development company that build and deliver market leading applications in the integrated care record and population health space. A “Cloud First” organisation, they are one of Microsoft’s largest UK healthcare data customers with a variety of Azure services and technologies embedded across their suite of solutions. They’ve recently been awarded “Outstanding” by Best Companies, earning a top 100 spot in the mid-sized companies’ category. Their unprecedented growth over the last year has seen their test teams growing in number and they are seeking a talented individual to join their development team as a Senior Automation Test Lead.
 
You will join an experienced and cross dimensional team operating under a Scaled Agile framework, with access to a range of industry leading tools and platforms including Selenium Web Driver, Java, Azure DevOps, InteliJ IDE and API testing using the rest assured library.

The ideal candidate will be responsible for leading, co-ordinating, planning and executing automation testing activities for our key azure-based projects. This is a hands-on coding role in a lead position and the ideal candidate will lead the QA automation effort by example and work with offshore and onshore resources.
 
The role will include overseeing and leading on all aspects of software development in QA, including peer reviews, coding standards, framework maintenance, tooling reviews and recommendations.
 
The ideal candidate will need to demonstrate successful projects they have been involved with and will need to be able to hit the ground running, working closely with our existing automation teams and frameworks making an immediate impact. Knowledge of Health Care systems would be beneficial but not essential.

Key Responsibilities:
 
·         Practical experience in automated testing practices (4+ years in a lead position).
·         Hands on experience with C# as a primary programming language with understanding of Java SE.
·         Solid understanding of the .Net framework and the Azure platform.
·         Skilled in automating frontend and backend applications (Web Apps, Cross browser, APIs, Azure: Microservices, Functions, Service Bus, SQL Azure, Azure storage).
·         Experience using Continuous Integration tools (ADO) and version control solutions (GIT).
·         Excellent experience in Non-Functional testing using industry standard tools.
·         Experience of working with structured data (Understanding of XML, JSON etc.).
·         Experience of testing commercial applications within an agile development environment.
·         Experience of diagnosing, reporting, tracking and resolving quality issues in Jira.
·         Excellent interpersonal, communication and presentation skills both orally and in writing.
·         Ability to coach junior members of the team and positively influence fellow team members.
 
Professional Qualifications:
 
·         ISEB/ISTQB qualification (desirable)
·         Computing/IT related Bachelor’s Degree (desirable)
